Hey, I’m Tara.

I write content that empowers your brand to connect and convert.
You don’t have to pronounce my last name correctly for us to be friends.

My Approach

Strategic

While content for content’s sake is cool, it will not move the needle without consistency and strategy.

My work supports business objectives, achieves results, and optimizes content to better meet goals. Content should guide customers on a journey and ensure that they connect with a brand and understand product value.

Just like an ecosystem, different forms of content must all perform different functions.

Collaborative

Creative work does not happen in a bubble.

I appreciate opportunities to incorporate different perspectives and initiatives, working with other creatives, strategists, and teams. Let’s make sure that final copy works for you, not just for an abstract idea of cool content.

Here you’ll find articles, sales content, infographics, and reports.

I’ve done just about every type of content there is, but I didn’t want to burden you with fancy coffee tasting notes or social media campaigns captured via screenshot from 2014.
Feel free to inquire if you’re curious about something not featured.

About Me

I grew up in Topanga Canyon in Los Angeles County and began writing LA arts coverage as a teenager. I transferred New School in New York, NY at 21. I graduated with Honors, worked as an editorial assistant and social media manager for small brands, wrote cultural criticism, and slung fancy lattes while eating entirely too many dollar slices.

Eventually, my now-husband and I had a serious conversation about how much we missed nature, and took a 3,000 mile gamble. Once Portland, OR was home, I merged my skillsets to focus on content marketing.
The gamble paid off. I love where I live and I love what I do.

I love getting outside, drawing, cooking, exploring the West Coast, and having around three beverages on hand at all times.

Don’t be shy

I would appreciate a handwritten letter with elements of decoupage and perhaps some pressed flowers from your corner of the world.

I’d stash it in a keepsake box so that my grandkids would someday run their fingers across the faded ink and ask, “Who is Colonel Aureliano Buendía and why would you not do his website for free?”

Email works, too.
